Disturbing Weather In The U.A.E: Days 5 &6

Day 5
This has been one heck of a morning. It's now 1:30AM and there is a lot of lightning outsidem I can see the weather is starting to look bad. It's so bad to the point no one can sleep in my house :P
So the winds are kicking in and there's lightning but where is the rain? Didn't I already ask this question before?
Later at 2:20AM it started raining a lot, coinsidense? I think not. Gulf News Says "..The weather we are having at the moment is not unusual weather, this seems to be the normal weather for March.." I don't think this weather seems to be normal weather, come on it's a desert and how many times does it rain in a desert? once every few years. So now about the rain, yeah so it kept raining until sometime in the morning (I Don't remember when exactly). But by the time it went 12:00PM (noon) it started to rain heavily until 1:15PM. Then finally the weather started clearing out and it became sunny for the rest of the day until the very next day (Day 6).

Day 6

So many things have happened through out these days and I just don't know where to begin, Let's see it started raining for about 6 days now, the news issued a weather warning and then *sigh* they removed the weather warning :(
What can I say about that? It's now 12:40PM on Monday March 30th 3009 and I am looking out the window again and to tell you the truth it became cloudy again (I wish that it would rain so much so the ministry would give us that day off). It's not like any other day except other than the clouds covering up the sky and making Dubai look more like Europe (minus the drainage system we have here which totally sucks). The weahter is now gloomy, and it's still windy. I went downstairs around 11:45AM and believe it or not the wind was pretty strong that it pushed 2 lawn chairs from my house straight into the swimming pool.  And when Gulf News said "...Expect the weather to be nice and clear by Tuesday..." Hah, don't make me laugh. They had to reprint the weather report and say "...Expect the weather to be questionably unstable until Sunday...". Obviously it's going to be bad weather. Oh yeah by the way (btw), expect a lot of thunderstorms to hit Dubai tomorrow. The weather forcast reads "...there will be a lot of thunderstorms tonight and hopefully also tomorrow..." So just remember everyone to get ready for the bad weather tomorrow. Might I suggest everyone carries an unbrella with them and dress warmly or dress in jeans if you want and a jacket with a hood ;)
Also I forgot to mention that during the past few days the weather has reduced visibility accross the U.A.E. So many flights have been delayed for quite sometime.
Update: Today at 5:00PM there was a loud sound of thunder as well as a big flash of lightning. Yes it had rained a lot at my university. This is something different for a change, other than it being cloudy and hazy the entire time. Let me tell you a short story of what happened today. So it goes like this: I was hanging out with my friends today at the university and one of my friends were leaving, so we decided to walk with him towards the lobby of the university and that's where it all happened. As soon as one of my friends left, my other friend and I were just chatting about things and we were looking at the birds sitting all over the ledge behind the Shangrila Hotel and suddenly a large flash of rain just flashed right in front my my friend and I and then a loud thunder came after that. Boy was it freaky but then it was a little funny after all the birds that were sitting on the ledge just started flying away :P
There was just a lot of lightning going on for about 15 minutes then it started to drizzle for about 5 - 6 minutes after that it had rained. So here we are, my friend decides to go to the Dubai mall while I go and just sit with my study group, but wait just before that my brother calls me on my mobile. He calls me and asks me to go to Sharaf DG to check and see if they have a charger for the X-Box controller. So I was like, OK that's fine. I'll just walk towards Sharaf DG, it will only take about 3 minutes to reach there. So I went and I started walking there while it was just drizzling. As soon as I reached half way, the rain got even worse. So here I am just standing in the rain with my hood on waiting for the walk signal to turn green and by the time it turns green I just ran towards the shop. When I approach the shop, I go and see if they have that thing my little brother wanted but they didn't have it. Just before I left I tried calling him but all the network was down, there was NO signal for the phone for about an hour. Then I had to walk all the way back to my university and I had to walk in the rain, so I went and I walked in the rain. As soon as I arrive to the university I am soaking wet :( and I didn't even have a spare shirt :(
So I just had to go to class and then just suffer until 8:00PM.
By the way, it also rained in Abu Dhabi at long last and it was drizzling in Al Ain but not a lot. Also the visibility of the road was bad, from Dubai it was 800m and from Abu Dhabi it was 500m
Oh yeah and the temperature was dropping through out the U.A.E.

Want to hear about Day 7? Day 7 will be posted tomorrow night at midnight!

New Music:

This is a new song called "Right Round" and it was made by Flo & Keisha.

Flo Rida - Right Round Lyrics featuring Kesha:
(Flo Rida)
You spin my head right round, right round
When you go down, when you go down down
(Kesha)
You spin my head right round, right round
When you go down, when you go down down

(Flo Rida)
Hey
Hopped out of that house with my swagger
Hop in that with girl, I got places to go!
People to see, time is precious
I look at my Cartier, out of control
Just like my mind where I’m going
No women, no shorties, no nothin but clothes
No stoppin now, my Pirelli’s on role
I like my jewelry, that’s always on gold
I know the storm is comin
My pockets keep tellin me it’s gonna shower
Call up my homies that’s home
Then pop in the night cuz it’s meant to be ours
We keep a fade away shot cuz we ballin
It’s platinum patron that be ours
Lil mama, I owe you just like the flowers
Girl you to drink with all that and power clubs

(Flo Rida)
You spin my head right round, right round
When you go down, when you go down down
(Kesha)
You spin my head right round, right round
When you go down, when you go down down

(Flo Rida)
From the top of the pole I watch her go down
She got me throwin my money around
Ain’t nothin more beautiful to be found
It’s goin down down.
From the top of the pole I watch her go down
She got me throwin my money around
Ain’t nothin more beautiful to be found
It’s goin down down

Hey
Shawty must know I’m not playin
My money love her like a numba one fan
Don’t look at my mouth, let her talk to my fans
My Benjamin Franklins
A couple of grands, I got rubber bands
My paper planes makin a dance
Get dirty all night, that’s part of my thing
Keep building castles that’s made out of sand
She’s amazing, the fire blazing
Hotter than…
Girl won’t you move a lil closer?
Time to get paid, it’s maximum wage
That body belong on a poster
I’m in a daze, that bottom is wavin’ at me
Like damn it I know you
You wanna show like a gun out of holster
Tell me whatever and I’ll be your roper…

(Flo Rida)
You spin my head right round, right round
When you go down, when you go down down
(Kesha)
You spin my head right round, right round
When you go down, when you go down down

(Flo Rida)
From the top of the pole I watch her go down
She got me throwin my money around
Ain’t nothin more beautiful to be found
It’s goin down down
From the top of the pole I watch her go down
She got me throwin my money around
Ain’t nothin more beautiful to be found
It’s goin down down

(Flo Rida)
You spin my head right round, right round
When you go down, when you go down down
(Kesha)
You spin my head right round, right round
When you go down, when you go down down

(Flo Rida)
I’m spendin my money
I’m out of control
Somebody help me
She’s takin my bank roll.
But I’m king of the club
And I’m wearin the crown
Poppin these bottles
Touchin these models
Watchin they asses go down down

(Flo Rida)
You spin my head right round, right round
When you go down, when you go down down
(Kesha)
You spin my head right round, right round
When you go down, when you go down down
(Flo Rida)
You spin my head right round, right round
When you go down, when you go down down
(Kesha)
You spin my head right round, right round
When you go down, when you go down down

My Sunday Plans:

Here is what's going on on Sunday:
  • I have to wake up early in the morning like around 6:00AM or maybe 6:30AM depends when I'm in the mood and I have to do my design project by 7:00AM is the maximum
  • Then at 10:30AM I have to stop designing and I have to go and get ready for university
  • From 12:00PM - 3:00PM I have class, so Do Not Disturb
  • As Soon as class is over, I have to come home, have my lunch then finish the rest of my design project and hopefully pray that they still close my university because of the weather.
I have to finish my design project by tomorrow because it's due on Monday at 9AM and I have to give it to my *shudders* design class teacher and see what she thinks of it. If she gives me a bad grade, so help me God I'm going to lose it in class and I'll simply leave the class and go home. I wouldn't even speak to her, I'll just tell the university that I want to change my design teacher!
But thats ONLY if she gave me a mark that is less than a B grade!

Disturbing Weather In The U.A.E: Days 3 & 4

Day 3
The weather seems to be calming down nowadays, even though it had been raining heavily but not for a long time. Just today it seemed to be a bit cloudy through out the day, it's not like anything bad happened. By the time it was about 9PM it had started to rain heavily from what XTR told me. I was in the cinema the entire time it rained. I was busy enjoying my time there while it was raining heavily outside. Once I left the cinema (which was around midnight), the temperature just dropped from 30*c to 20*c. So it was nice and breezy and cool of course. Actually that was a great feeling after the rain washed away all the dust & dirt in the air and it just cleaned it. So you know that feeling you get, that feeling of getting cleansed or something like that. It's pretty hard to describe that feeling.

Day 4
Today the weather seems to be fine. It's just a little gloomy but mostly it was partly sunny. There goes wishing for a few extra days off. Now it seems to be getting a little cloudier than yesterday. Hmm, I think it might rain in the evening. The weather forcast seems to be giving wong news right now. So I'm guessing it might rain but for a short period of time. But all what I know is that it might be raining later tonight and by tomorrow we might be having a bad thunderstorm. The bad thing is that it's not very windy now. It is now 9:00PM and the weather seems to be cloudier than usual. Maybe it might rain, I'm not really sure. So the winds start kicking in for about an hour or so then suddenly a drop from the sky falls down on to the ground.
You ask "Is it me or did I just feel some rain dropping?". Moments later it starts raining, so it's now about 11PM and it's still raining. About 45 minutes later the rain simply stops, leaving many things to finally dry off for a bit. So now it's starting to dry off and everything is quiet at 11:59PM. I am now looking out the window and I can smell something? But what is this thing I'm smelling? Can it be? is it fresh air? Oh God, finally we can breathe at last. Enough inhaling all those nasty pollutants in the air. Isn't this just great we're breathing fresh air, how can we get to smell fresh air in such a polluted place like Dubai? I thank the rain for this wonderful feeling. Now, the weather forcast has been updated (for the first time in a few days) and it says that it's going to keep raining from 1AM - 7AM. So I guess this is going to be the end of Day 4. I'll add in day 5 tomorrow night. Unfortunately I have to wake up at 6AM and have my breakfast, then *sigh* finish my design project. This design project of mine is making me go nuts. I know my teacher requires it to be "perfect". I'll talk about this in the next post :)

Time To Let Off Some Steam:

This week has been horrible all thanks to the university. Enough of this nonsense, I have had it with these people that have been pissing me off. No it's not the students, it's some of the professors. For example my Design Class professor has NO respect for me, she's extremely unfair in grading our sketches. If for example she would ask you to draw the lines of perspectives. You would sit there drawing what she asked you, am I right? Then she says "oh, you're doing good. Keep up the great work". That makes you feel better about yourself and your drawings until you get your grades. Here is a nice big "D". Enjoy your grade.  Oh yeah I forgot to mention that the design class teacher's gihest grade in her class is a big huge "C". There are NO "A" students or "B" Students in her class this semester. Now all that time she was "pretending" to be nice to me & the rest of the class. That is really unfair. Well now I don't give a damn about her and her grading scheme. It's like what Phoebe Haliwell from TV's Charmed said "...Either this is someone's sick sick joke or someone is planning a massive evil plan...". I agree with that quote.
The second thing that had made me get upset. My Calculus 1 grades. I don't understand what is going on with it. I keep studying my butt off until I get the worst headache ever and when I come to do the test or exam well whatever that is. It's a freaking definitions test. NOT a normal solve the problems test. I know that in almost every single university they give you a lot of questions to solve except in this university. This situation sounds a bit funny (this is only meant for the calculus class, the design class is another case). But now the calculus professor has finally started to improve :) I'm very happy with that but the only one that hasn't shown any improvement is the Design Class Teacher. I hope she can understand the pain she's putting me through. Let's hope I get a higher grade this semester. For those of you who are applying for the Design Class 101, I would highly recommend taking the Thursday class or take the class with Mrs. T (I respect everyone's privacy so I won't be calling them by their name. I will only be calling them by the first letter of their name).

A Video About The Storm On Wednesday:

Disturbing Weather In The U.A.E: Days 1 & 2

This week in Dubai we have been experiencing some crazy weather changes. Dubai has never experienced this type of weather in a long time. So it goes like this:

Day 1:
  • Sandstorm - On Sunday we had a bad sandstorm and the sandstorm didn't stop until Tuesday. The sandstorm brought extremely strong winds until the satellites from roofs fall down and signs and billboards fall down. From what I've heard that in Al Ain, that the winds were really bad that in one residential area (I don't know where exactly) some of the satellites from the roof fell down (literally speaking) on some of the cars in that residential area and it was followed a big huge billboard falling down on them as well. This was pretty freaky, I wonder how the owners must be feeling now. They must be upset right now.
  • Temporary Heatwave - As soon as the sandstorm started dying out, the temperatures shot up to 36*c and in some parts it was 38*c. The heatwave went on until Wednesday evening.
  • Thunder & Lightning - On Wednesday evening the temperature just started dropping like crazy, strong winds were blowing sand and dust as well as other things in the air (bags were flying as well :P) and at the same time there was lightning going on and it was very cloudy but it didn't rain for 2 hours. Then suddenly at 8:45PM it had started to rain all over Dubai and at 9:00PM in the Garhoud area, it was raining and hailing. Yes it was hailing. The entire road from Garhoud to Sheikh Zayed Road was covered with hailstones. All the cars came to a sudden stop in the tunnels because of this, people were running for cover on the Sheikh Zayed Road and they were all watching the hail drop. Then the hail finally stopped and shifted towards other parts of the U.A.E. and it has hailed in Safa Park and everywhere else in Barsha. Man it was that bad. Then the rain had calmed down in Dubai. But it had started to affect Al Ain, from what I heard is that XTR called me and told me that the wind speed over in Al Ain was strong and he had never experienced anything like that. Don't worry the weather is like that accross the U.A.E. and we cannot do anything about it. UPDATE: I also heard that there was hail in Bur Dubai, Satwa, Jebel Ali & Some Parts of Sharjah, how convinient is that?
Day 2

Now it's day 2 and as I look out my window I can see that it's pretty cloudy, then it gets sunny for like a few seconds then it gets back to being cloudy. It was drizzling this morning since 11AM (thats the time when I woke up) till now. But it would drizzle for a few minutes then it would just stop. My friend told me that this morning it had rained a lot so the weather was pretty bad.
OMG are you seeing whats going on outside, it's nice and sunny. Oh God I wish it would just keep raining a lot until next week. Let's hope that it rains a lot so that the ministry of education would have to give us 3 days off for the bad weather. Anyways let's get back to my story.
I was just reading some of the latest articles from Gulf News and so many things have been postponed accross the U.A.E due to the amazing weather. The following things have been affected in the U.A.E:
  • The World Water Day Celebrations in Abu Dhabi has been postponed due to bad wather. It will resume on the 10th of April 2009
  • Dubai World Cup's "Arabian Nights" were forced to change their location to a covered place. I think they have moved to the trade center in halls 7, 8 & 9. It's NOT cancelled or anything they just moved it there.
  • Traffic - expect a lot of traffic due to the weather
  • Flooding - There was a lot of flooding in the Wadis far away from Dubai, many people lost their homes due to the floods
Anyways I will be adding Day 3 & Day 4 soon!

Celebrity Look Alikes:

What's Going On?

Many things have happened through out the year. There were many ups and downs, it's more like a roller coaster that never ends. Anyway now here is what has happened through out the year:
  • Weird Weather hits the world - The weather has been really weird lately, it had rained a lot in Dubai. It normally rains like once every 3-5 years but this year it rained like 4 or 5 times and the weather is just nuts. Also on Sunday March 22nd 2009 we had a thunderstorm for 10 minutes, what a coincidence I think Not!
  • Economic Failure - The global economy has been depleting over the past few months leaving many people homeless & jobless. This current situation is trying to get sorted out but it's a long story. I'm not going to bother explaining it.
  • Polluted City - You guessed it, Dubai is one of the world's most polluted areas to be in. I don't know what Dubai has done but there's smog in town as well as dust and unexplained weather issues. Someone should call Wall-E to come and clean up our world :P
  • Peace & Quiet - You expect to see or hear a lot of noise in Dubai since some people (namely me) compare it to New York City but guess again since there's a recession going on people have started packing up their things and leaving due to financial crisis
  • Diabetes - Almost everyone in Dubai is diabetic and diabetes can lead to death. Well everyone in Dubai have "other plans" rather than just exercising . I don't even have diabetes which is is great thing (thank God). But the way everyone eats is ridiculous. Some people eat Mc Donalds which is filled with trans fat and God knows what else. I think health food is long gone to most of the Arabs and fast food is what's hot. Well I'm not saying that everyone does what I'm saying here. Some of the reasons could be because of the weather. The weather is boiling hot during the summer and no one can survive here :P
That's all for now. Expect an update soon!

Top 5 For The Year 2009:

I think since you know the midterms are over, I thought I would give my own reviews of everything. I'll be talking about everything from A -Z. Let's start with the Top 5 Singers:

  1. Dido (as always Dido rocks, I have nothing else to say but You Go Dido :D )

  2. Charmed (it's all about 3 sexy ladies who kick butt)
  3. Privileged (An interesting story at Palm Beach)
  4. 90210 - 2008 (not bad, just a little provocative)

  5. Super Smash Brawl (This is no. 1 for the Wii Games )

2 sets of Instrumental Videos :

Here are 2 songs that are well basically instrumental. You won't be able to hear that singers voice unless if you listen to the original one of course :P
This time it's based on Madonna. For those of you who can't view the video, I am so sorry about that. Please ignore this post if you can't see the video.

This song is called "Beautiful Stranger" By that old hag Madonna. It has a 70's beat to it so go ahead and listen to it :)

The other song is called "Miles Away" by that same hag Madonna.

Are You Busy?

Yes I have never been so busy in my life until now. I swear to God, these are one of the busiest days of my life. Well let's see, I had a math midterm yesterday and I think it went well. This Calculus Midterm is supposed to be a midterm that has things like "solve the following equation" or "find the limit of 5X-5/X when the Lim of X is 5" well guess what. That was mostly a lie. The calculus quiz that I had was more like a definition exam rather than a solving exam. At least 70% of the paper was just answer the questions, 10% of the paper was write your name and 20% of the paper was solve a few questions that makes about 100% of the paper. So expect to get a 100% as your grade. Wrong, we're talking about calculus here. Expect at least a grade of D or even less. There is a 0.0001% chance in getting a B grade in this subject. But it is pretty funny sometimes but it's a burden on people's heads.
Now getting back to how my life has been so busy. Man there is not enough time in the week to finish everything and there is NO time to even breathe this week all thanks to these F***ing midterms. This is a burden on my head. With all these crazy assignments that we're getting from the professors and these stupid midterms taking up a lot of our time. There is NO time to do anything. Unfortunately I have to stay awake till God knows what time until I finish doing my design project (which is due tomorrow) and I have to finish the remaining part of my freaking biology and get this, I'm having a big huge headache all at once. I just can't concentrate anymore. I've been studying since 4PM till 7:30PM then I took a break and then I continued from 8:30PM until now. Imagine this my brothers are having more fun than me. One of them is having midterms but he's lucky he only has the easy exams left and my big brother has nothing to do but chill until the end of time. My mom was busy talking on the phone with some of her friends. Why does everybody get to have fun except C.U.D. students. I heard that even students at A.U.D are on vacation at the moment. They are enjoying their Spring Vacation while the rest of us are just killing ourselves with these bloody exams.

I believe the Minsitry has nothing to do other than just torture us. They don't think we're human beings. So I think they must believe that all the students are robots because we have nothing better to do other than studying. The main reason why I think that they are like that is because they have nothing better to do and they must also believe that we (students) have no feelings.
So I guess they are enjoying the wonderful weather we are having in Dubai while the rest of the us are being treated as robots :(

I wish that there was a long set of holidays and the ministry would say "Enjoy your 1 week vacation and go ahead and enjoy this wonderful weather that we're having at the moment. Try and enjoy it before it gets too hot until you can't breathe!".

Also Expect a major update as of this Thursday because I will be posting some new posts as well as a different template. Well there is going to be some changes around here. There will be an announcement made tomorrow night about the blog update. I will be closing the blog for a few hours. When I say closing the blog I mean I'll be giving only a few people access to it the rest of you won't be able to view it until the blog has been modified.

Symptoms After A Midterm:

General Formula: Midterms + quizzes + final Exams = Stress
also
Study = Not fail
Don't Study = Fail
Take a common factor and you'll get
Study = Fail :P

There are many symptoms people get after doing a midterm. I'll just tell you them in points:
  • Headaches: This is the most common thing to get after you finished your midterm since you have been out for a long time.
  • State Of Trance: Yes this my friends seems to be the main reason. When I say "state of trance". I mean as if you are busy dreaming about what you're going to do after you finished that midterm. Many people would get distracted from their work and they might end up failing that midterm.
  • Madness: Hah and you think that most people stay sane after they had suffered a lot: Hell no they go crazy and some of them literally lose it by setting things on fire or just heading to the mall or doing something crazy.
Not all people get this only some people would receive this. For example as for me, I just got a bad headache, I don't know why I got it but who cares. It's no big thing!

That's 1 Thing Out Of My Mind:

I have finally finished my Calculus Midterm on Chapter 2. I can say that I am happy to get this midterm out of my mind but now I can focus on my biology midterm which is on Thursday and not forgetting my English Midterm. I think this calls for a slight celebration. Let's get Dido's music playing :)

This song has a weird beat to it but as you can see I'm in a state of awe (mixed feelings). I'm happy, I'm tired & I'm stressed all at the same time. Well I won't be saying many things about my Calculus midterm until tomorrow. Expect an update until then see you soon!

I know this might be a Cliche but...

Warning This video has some inappropriate language and therefore XTR & I (retrotrut) cannot be held responsible for whatever you hear in this video bellow. This video is rated 15 & above. Watch it at your own risk!

Who remembers Hillary Duff? Remember when she used to be so innocent? Well guess again she's not. People say that she is a filthy person because of her song (Insert Obscene Name Here).
Now I wonder what does that mean. If you are a fan of Hillary Duff I would recommend you stop being her fan because she's a filthy celeb. She's more like Lesbo Lohan.
As what XTR quoted "....Filthy habit, drink too much....". Who knows maybe Hillary drinks a lot. I don't know but let's just put it that way and you know what happens if you keep drinking a lot. It's like saying that farting leads to pooping as kissing leads to "getting busy". Here is the song by Hillary. If you listen to the lyrics carefully you can hear the chorus saying "I want to blow you....". LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man this is so unfair, the weather just started to get better and there is one thing that is spoiling it is these f**king midterms. Come on the ministry of education is going nuts. No wonder the roads are empty through out the weekends because everyone is stuck at home suffering*.
Well my exams are hopefully going to be finished on Thursday. I'll post my schedule on the next post.

* Note: the word suffering is a replacement word for study. I'm sorry but I hate the word study.
Also you would have noticed that I've changed the template of my blog. This is a temporary template, it will be here until the midterms are over. Then it's back to the blue template :)

Sin Francisco:

Some people have many feelings am I right or not? Most people in the world have committed many sins. There are many so I'll name a few:
- Sin of Greed (this seems to be the main sin that's going on with the governments around the world)
- Sin of Lust (there are so many hormone crazed Romeos & Juliets in this world so you don't need to know anything else other than that)
-Sin of Gluttony (many people eat as if there's no tomorrow)
-Sin of Sloth (everyone is lazy but to a certain limit, some people HATE exercising namely me and some people LOVE exercising XTR)
-Sin of Envy (is anyone envious of my blog?)
-Sin of Pride (if there are too many people that take pride of themselves then we have a problem, they should go and see a doctor or just go to the bookstore and get something else other than "The Self Esteem Bible" which states that I love myself, I love myself....)

A very good example is this song. This song represents Sin of Greed & Lust & Pride.
It's by Britney Spears and it's called "Gimme More"

This is just a little notice that we have a bunch of sins out there and you should be very careful in what you do.

M.I.A - Paper Planes (Instrumental)

Anyone cares to sing along with this song? Come on it's only about Paper Planes. You're allowed to make remixes with this song :D

Time Goes By So Slowly:

Boredom Stikes Us All

Today I feel as if time is going slower by the minute. The reason why I feel this way is because I am so bored at the moment. I know that I shouldn't complain about that but unfortunately I have classes from 9AM - 7:30PM every Mondays and Wednesdays. So today I managed to finish my design class earlier (about 11:45AM instead of 12PM) and I've been on a break since then. My break wouldn't end until 2:45PM then as soon as that's over I have class until 4PM. Then finally my last class is at 6:15PM till 7:30PM and after that I can go home and relax.
I can't wait to go home and then just plop down on my bed and watch TV or maybe, possibly play on the computer. Hmm I wonder which game shall I play tonight? Saints Row 2? The Sims 2 (hacked edition by yours truely)? Spore (about time I played that game)? Or shall I just watch something online such as Kyle XY and continue watching Season 2 of it?
This will all be done as soon as I do some work but procrastination has taken over our lives :P
LOL!

I Never Thought...

I never thought that I would hear Jem's new album being played on the radio. I know this is such a surprise. You must be wondering what the hell I'm talking about, right?
I'm talking about Jem. She's this amazing Welsh singer, she was inspired by Dido and her music is awesome. You can hear her music on 90210 (the new series).
Anyways let's get back to the story. So I was just sitting in the car and I was heading to the Mercato with my mom. So on the way to the mall I was just checking what's on the radio.
So here's what I heard on the radio:
Coast 103.2 - The same old songs over and over again. It's the same recordings again
Virgin Radio 104.4 - The untalented singer Katy Perry with her awful song - thinking of you *sigh when will she learn that we hate that song, since that song has no rhythm at all.
Dubai 92.0 - Some band, I wasn't sure who it was but they're ok
Radio 1 104.1 - Sean Paul again, sexy ladies from ............ oh please enough of that.
Classic Hits 99.3 - Jem: It's Amazing WTF since when would Dubai play this song? Of course since I had the album I thought I would see if Virgin would have any of Jem's albums and of course I was incorrect again!
Stupid Non-Virgin Rip Off store!

Here's the song, go ahead and view it if you want :)

The Reason Why The Sims 3 Was Delayed:

So I was just browsing around Snooty Sims, when I saw their featured site is called Simpedia. It's more like a Wikipedia wannabe. So I was just looking around Simpedia and they told us why The Sims 3 was delayed. It was delayed because the first cover they thought of was considered to be "adult". So they finally changed it. But that's not all why it was delayed. Here is what they said about The Sims 3:

" I'll start with the good news - the new release date's been announced, so no more nail-biting anticipation.

The bad news is pretty bad, though - it looks like it'll be released on June 2nd 2009

Russell Arons, EA's marketing VP, said the delays will give EA much-needed time to advertise the game. "The June launch combined with the break-through game the team is building gives us the perfect runway to create awareness for The Sims 3."

"The Sims 3 will be the original IP summer blockbuster of 2009 as we build off the success of the best-selling PC franchise of all time to create awareness with both loyal Sims fans and new players."

To be honest, I think most of the loyal Sims fans out there were aware of the game ever since it was first announced early 2008. The delayed release will probably just put them off.

There will be advantages, of course. The later release will lessen the "Vista effect", since by June average computer performance will be up enough for more people to be able to run the game smoothly.

And maybe anticipation isn't such a bad thing - teasers are deadly effective in the world of advertising. By June, I'm willing to bet TS3 will have an online following to equal that of even the mighty TS2. Let's just hope EA create enough 'awareness' to give us something to talk about."

Global Economy Talk:

Remember when I was talking to you about the global economic crises, well here is a continuation of it and I thought I would tell you what has been going on in Dubai for the past few days:
  • Dubai Dry-Docks has FIRED about 4000 staff members. I know this because of one of my friends sent me the info. He said "....now that everything is going out of business (except for L.L.C. Companies that deal with it the Islamic Way), they even fired my really good friend :( ..."
  • Does anybody listen to Coast 103.2 FM? Well believe it or not EVERYONE from there have been fired and they are only playing "past" recordings. They will not be answering their phones since no one is there.
  • Most of the construction in the U.A.E. has stopped except down by the Marina. If you read the newspaper (name any local newspaper) and it will say "...oh the construction is still going on around the U.A.E....". They are the biggest liars. What's wrong with them? Can't they just stop covering up and just tell the truth. The truth shall set you free!
  • About a few weeks ago one of the staff members from Feline Friends (the best place to get cats and also to get the best care for your cats ) Sandra Z. was forced to leave Dubai because of the economic Crisis. It was that bad. Trust me I know how it looks like.
  • Now getting back to the present, most universities are "defending" their increase in their fees. As you can see Gulf News said that most universities have been increasing their fees due to the global crisis. Some students said that the fees have gone up and it's not like before. It's doubled the price or even more.
  • Sama Dubai has gone bankrupt due to the global economic crisis. It was a tragic moment when that happened. They ended up firing everyone now!
More updates soon!

Ahlan Magazine HATES Hayden & Milo:

"Why? The Hollywood rule book says celeb couples must cite “irreconcilable differences” when they split. So, imagine our delight when Hayden Pantyliner and Milo Ventimigglywiggly’s reason for breaking up promised not to mention the “I.D’s”! Until, that is, we heard it was a “lifestyle conflict.”

What is that supposed to mean?! Can’t they just admit it was the 12-year age gap and Hayd wants to date one of our hot guys (as you can see, she's a hormone - crazed Juliet)."

All of this was taken from Ahlan Magazine and I swear to God, that it's pretty funny what they said about those two. LOL!

Dido- Friends

Here is the song "Friends": Dido - Friends Lyrics: I know you thought I'd never be Really much of anything While y...
