Retro's Unlucky Situation:

Downloading Any Updates For Windows 7 Can Lead To This Screen

For the past couple of weeks, I haven't been able to blog that much like how I used to blog before. The reason for this is because of my computers; both my laptop and my desktop have been acting really weird.
Now before I say anything, I would like to post an important warning to ALL WINDOWS 7 USERS:
Do NOT download or install any of the Windows updates as it will cause your Windows Files to get corrupted. This is a serious message because Microsoft Windows Updates have released a couple of updates and those updates have been causing people's computers act up by corrupting their Windows files and giving them the Blue Screen Error Of Death (BSEOD)and this will keep occurring every 5 minutes. Please Be VERY EXTREMELY CAREFUL!!!!

Now as you all know that I have just posted an announcement saying that Windows has released a couple of updates that screw up your PC and the only way to repair the issue is to format your computer. Now I'
m forced to format my desktop because of those crazy updates. From now on, I will not even bother updating windows 7 at all times.

As for my laptop, my laptop has also been acting up not because of the Windows updates but for it's old age. My laptop's processor had started making a lot of noise. More like the noise of a blender, and to make it worse, it takes forever for me to log on to Windows Vista. Sometimes it takes 45 minutes to an hour and of course it then crashes in between logging on. Isn't that just wonderful. Just about 4 days ago I had managed to send my laptop to the HP Center and they said that the laptop had to be formatted.

So I sent the laptop to be formatted and I have just gotten the laptop back, and now I am so busy reinstalling everything again. I'm even reinstalling The Sims 3 as well. Now for my desktop computer, I am so busy backing up my files and I'm just getting it ready for the next time the repairman comes in (which is Either tomorrow or Thursday or possibly Sunday, I'm not too sure). The repairman will be formatting my desktop and while it's being formatted, I will be busy reinstalling everything back on to my laptop and then I will have to reinstall everything on my desktop (including The Sims 2 and all it's EP's and SP's and GTA San Andreas and GTA 4 and so on).

I know, I have such a busy schedule, tell me about it. Until then, there will be some updates but not that many until the Eid Holidays (which is sometime on September ).

By the way, the Blue Screen Error that Windows Updates has affected Windows 7 will keep happening every 5 minutes and I have confirmed that this is not a virus, I have asked several people and even MSN had said the same thing and they are apologizing for the error that it has caused everyone. So please be extremely careful when updating your PC. You never know what it can do to your PC. The only solution now is to format the PC and you don't want that to happen to your PC, now would you?

10 Most Disgusting Ice Cream Flavors:

I know that whenever we think of Ice Cream, we think of the following things: It's sweet, it's refreshing and some of us think of certain flavor or probably more than one flavor such as Chocolate and Vanilla.
Now, forget that. What is going on with the future of Ice Cream, now people are starting to eat weird flavors. Yes, weird flavors like "Salad Ice Cream" (Lettuce, Tomato and yes, your usual salad but mixed with ice cream), "Oyster Ice Cream"  and so on. Check out this link and you will see how revolting these ideas are.

Now here are the top 10 most disgusting Ice Cream Flavors in the world:

  1. Whale Fat Ice Cream - I didn't know that this flavor exists
  2. Wasabi Ice Cream - Nice and strong, I'm guessing this is the replacement for the Mint Ice cream
  3. Spaghetti and Cheese Ice Cream - Yuk, that's just too gross
  4. Octopus Ice Cream - Scientists have proved that it's not good to have seafood mixed with milk as it will cause a chemical reaction in the stomach. Hence, in making you suffer from Salmonella Disease
  5. Horse Flesh Ice Cream - Now it's served Raw and Frozen Horse Flesh
  6. Garlic Ice Cream - I'm guessing it's frozen garlic cream :P
  7. Aquatak - An Alaskan ice cream-like food made from whipped fat, berries, sugar, and leftover meat, How revolting does that sound?!
  8. Caviar Ice Cream - For the rich spoiled brats who keeps spending a $1000 like it's $10
  9. Viagra Ice Cream - Keeps your hormones frozen :P
  10. Chili Pepper Ice Cream- like what Katy Perry said in one of her songs "...Cause you're Hot & you're Cold....".

Retro's Summer Treat: Homemade Bounty Ice cream

Chocolate and Coconut are important ingredients for this recipe

You all know when the weather gets too hot, you need to find a way to cool yourself down especially during Dubai's current heatwave. As you all know, the Holy Month of Ramadan is currently going on and the rules in Dubai state that you cannot eat or drink during the day but you can eat and drink during the evening, once it's time to break fast. So I had decided to create something special for Iftar today. It's called Bounty Ice Cream, just like the famous chocolate Bounty. So here is the recipe. By the way, this makes a Great dessert. So after Iftar, you can go and eat this.

Here is what you need:

  • An Ice Cream Maker - this is Extremely important
  • A blender
  • 1/2 a can of Rainbow Milk or 1/2 a can of Carnation evaporated milk
  • 2 large spoons of milk powder
  • half of "Extra Light" Whipping Cream Mix. - Not Elle & Vire Whipping cream, as it causes the ice cream to turn out into a soup and can cause irritation to the stomach
  • 2 cups of low-fat milk
  • half a handful of Sweetened coconut. I'm sure you'll be able to find this in Spinneys and Union- Co Op
  • 3 table spoons of Cadbury's Unsweetened Bitter Chocolate Powder
  • 6 table spoons of Nesquick Chocolate Powder - Use this one for the best result
Now before I continue, Do NOT add ANY Sugar into this and Do NOT add ANY Condense Milk into this as the ice cream will become too sweet and might give you some sort of disease.

Before you do Anything, Please make sure you have followed the instructions of the ice cream maker and that you have kept it in the freezer 24 hours before using it. And always keep it clean.

Once you have everything, you first take the blender and add the following ingredients into it; add the rainbow milk, followed by the Extra Light Whipping Cream Mix (Bulta  is really useful and NOT Elle & Vire). Then you add the Nesquick Chocolate Powder and the Cadbury's unsweetened bitter chocolate powder into it and then you can add the sweetened coconut into it. And then finally you should add the 2 cups of low fat milk into it (Al Marai Milk is really useful. Half & Half Is NOT Required due to the amount of calories it has in it)

After you have blended the stuff, you then pour the blended stuff straight into the ice-cream maker and then follow the instructions given to you in the Ice Cream Maker Manual. It should take about half an hour for it to get ready. Once that's done, you then put it in the freezer for at least 3 hours. Then serve it after you had your Iftar :D
It goes great with Warm Chocolate Cake :D

Updates In Progress

For the next couple of days I will be posting a few more updates along with the removal of the YouTube Videos on the side of my blog.  But I will be starting with 2 recipes that will be posted by Wednesday. It will be 2 recipes for my post on Retro's Summer Recipes. I plan to replace the BBQ with Retro's Baked Chicken with Crab Stuffed Mushroom followed by my third new recipe which is Retro's Devil Rich Chocolate Cake  served with Retro's Summer Bounty Ice Cream.
However, I will be posting all of that by next Saturday as I have came down with Vertigo (serious headaches that make you feel really nauseous) but however tomorrow morning I'm going to head to the doctor to see if she can make the Vertigo stop. Expect updates starting on Wednesday :)

Retro's Where Abouts:

This summer I have travelled a lot with my family. Man, even though it has been a month of travelling, I am now so sick of travelling from place to place. I have actually travelled across the world believe it or not but I have to admit, it was a lot of fun just to get out of Dubai's burning hot weather.
I've actually travelled to quite a few places. My first stop was at Munich in Germany. Munich is actually filled with a lot of Arabs, so it didn't feel that I had actually left Dubai except for the fact that all the websites were unblocked and that they had alcohol is the shops along with pork based products (that is disgusting). But other than that I went and rented a car from Munich's airport and went zooming about Europe.
So I stayed in Munich for about 2 days and then headed straight to Villa De Este in Italy. It was extremely nice, the hotel was like a 5 star hotel but it felt like a 7 star hotel except with a lot of antiques in the hotel :P
I even heard that George Clooney stayed there for the summer but I didn't know that until I reached Cannes in the South Of France.
Now as for the 3rd destination, I headed straight to Cannes down in the South Of France and of course I went and checked out the beaches over there that everyone was talking about. Now listen here is a piece of advice, if you are above the age of 60 it's best if you go there but if you're less than that, DO NOT GO THERE. The reason is that in the beaches they don't have ANY young women there, if there are any young women, they're just fat and ugly but there were barely anyone my age but as for the people who are the ages of 60 and above, they have a lot of disgusting old fat topless ladies there. My suggestion is not to go there, you'll get scarred for life!
After my horrible experience, I headed straight to Nice which is also in the South Of France. Now Nice is pronounced as Niece. In Nice, it was pretty nice, they did have some nice beaches but with old people in them and some fat women, so it's kind of sad and lonely to go there but the view of the place was spectacular. I loved the view of the ocean reflecting the mountains and the shops were pretty cool. They also had a historical place which is more like a plaza that was converted from a historical building and they made it more modern by adding some shops in them (such as Virgin Megastore, Louis Vuitton and so on) and they even added a Tram System. It's like a Metro but except it looks like how a go-cart looks like the one where the wires are on top of them and that they are going on the main road and so on. Just check out Wikipedia for more information.
As soon as I finished with Nice, I headed straight to Portifino in Italy. Now Portifino was extremely amazing, the hotel is located on top of a mountain and the place was surrounded by flowers and other exotic plants. The name of the hotel is called Splendido (notice how it sounds like Splendid but with an "O" at the end" ) and the place was breath taking. I stayed in a Suite with my little brother and my God the Suite was like a 10 Star hotel. It looked amazing with the Cherry colored wooden floor panels and the marble bathroom with a touch of Mahogany surrounding the upper parts of the wall and the lower part. The bathroom had a marble bath tub with golden faucets
and the shower was really nice with the marble floor and the wooden glass door with a golden handle. The sinks were even made of marble and cherry wood. The place was really nice and when we open the balcony door, you could see the beautiful lake where the sun would set and make an orange reflection on the lake followed by all the 5 star Yachts passing by with leather seats and rubber plants. And then the food was even more amazing, for breakfast they had Smoked salmon, smoked herring, smoked turkey, a large selection of eggs, fresh veggies such as mushrooms, a large selection of cheese such as mozzarella balls both plain and bbq and much much more.

As soon as I finished visiting Portifino, I headed straight to Salzburg and spent the night there, it was pretty peaceful but then it got hectic in the morning with the shopping. There's not much to see in Salzburg where I stayed except for one of the old Forts that they had over there (which I had already seen last summer).
The very next day I headed straight to Vienna.

Vienna was pretty nice, the scenery was really nice. The town was like Satwa but an older version of Satwa (Can it get any older than that?). One of the disadvantages was that they had a Mosquito infestation that was busy biting everyone that was sitting outside and not inside :P

After my Vienna, I headed back to Munich and took the next flight to the Caribbean. Now what can I say about the Caribbean, Barbados was extremely nice, the beaches were amazing. Some people got tans, others just continued to swim in the beaches and then go into town and check out what they had. Then Trinidad was a lot of fun as well. Maracus Bay was AWESOME. I loved the fact that the waves were pretty high and I really enjoyed swimming with the waves and jumping through them as well. The hotel was pretty neat. It was more like an apartment and not like a hotel because you have everything you need from the AC to the Washing Machine to the Fridge to the Internet to the Stove to the Ironing Board.

After I finished with the Caribbean, I headed straight straight to Washington DC and stayed there for about 8 days. Getting there was easy but getting back to Dubai, well it was just really tiring. The flight from Barbados to Washington DC was about 9 hours and then to head back by Lufthansa it was about 20 hours (includes the 2 hour wait in Frankfurt). Isn't that long or what?!
