Heroes Season 4 Episodes 1 & 2 Review:

The TV Show "Heroes" continues on Mondays but it's released on Tuesdays to the rest of the world. In this continuation of Heroes, Claire finally moves to college , while Matt Parkman remarries his ex-wife and he's happily living with his new family. Nathan Petrelli is happily transforming into something unexpected. As for Sylar, we have an idea on what he's doing. He's so busy messing with Matt Parkman's head, it seems that Matt is starting to go crazy.

On with the great Japanese Heroes, Hiro & his friend Ando have started a new branch in Hero's Father's business called "Dial A Hero". In this episode, they talk about Hiro revealing a terrible secret which is really going to upset everyone but I won't reveal it for everyone. So now Hiro also goes back in time to fix Ando & Hiro's sister's relationship, it's a complicated story but it's explained in the episode and once Hiro travels back in time he meets a new guy (which is explained in the New Characters).

As for Tracy, she and Noah Bennet have been having issues at first, one minute Tracy wants to kill everyone and the next minute she and Noah are now friends. As the saying goes "Love at first site is often cured by another look". Who knows what will happen between Noah & Tracy? Will they fall in love or will they stay as friends? We all know that Noah & his wife are divorced since season 3 but what do you think will happen to them?

Now with Claire on the other hand, things seem to be getting like a cliche because in Season 1 of Heroes Claire Bennette is known to be the girl who was involved with a murder and could her college life become a murder life? That we'll have to see next week.

New Characters:
There are 3 new characters in this season (Season 4), we have :
  • Robert Knewpper who is also known as Theodor or T-Bag from Prison Break, his name from this season is to be announced soon. His power on the other hand is a tattooist, hmm what a lame job but it's moving tattoos.
  • Margaret Zima, also known as Gracy from TV's "The Nanny". She acts as Claire's college friend. Right now she's busy trying to help claire with her roomates mysterious death. Not much is known about this character.
  • Dawn Olivieri acts as Lydia, Robert's tattooist's customer/ psychic. Hello, she sounds like Phoebe Haliwell gone wrong. Here she's always stripping half way, don't ask why? No it's not for anything sexual it's for Robert to do his tattoo on her and she tells her who the person is. For example with out robert touching her she can automatically make a random image appear on her back, lets say she makes a picture tattoo of Hiro Nakamura, she can tell Robert all about him even if she has never met him.

More coming soon!

Retro's Week: Ending Of September 2009

As written in the Holy Qur’an, “To Allah we belong, and to Him is our return” (2:156) - Taken from Wikipedia

Oh man, this week was such a long week and I did not enjoy it that much. Even though, I'm in university, the work load is increasing by the minute but you think that's my only problem?
Well let me tell you what has happened to me this week , it's a long story but I'm going to summarize it for everyone.

This week I had my normal university classes (which took forever to finish), followed by my driving lessons (which I really like) and then followed by an unfortunate event (which I will explain momentarily). There was also the Tuition classes at the university, which was really annoying. Here let me tell you what has happened in my life.

On Tuesday, after I came home from the university and my driving lessons (which was from 9AM till around 5:30PM) I went to see if my mother was in her room but to my consent, she was no where to be seen. So I asked my little brother where she was and he told me that she had gone out with my grandfather. About 45 minutes later, once my mother came home. I went up to her and asked about where she had been and she told me that she and my grandfather went to see my Grandfather's Brother In Law at the hospital because he had a heart attack. So I was like shocked and all and then I made a decision to go and see him straight after Iftar.

Once I had finished having my Iftar, I went upstairs to go and get ready and I was just about to leave the house, when my uncle called me and he asked to speak with my mother. I told him that she was on her way to pick up the phone, so I thought that I would mention my grandpa's brother in law being in the hospital but he already knew that. So my mom picked up the other line. Little did they both know, I was still on the phone before I hung up. And my uncle told my mother (while I was eavesdropping) that my grandfather's brother in law had just passed away.
Allah Yarhamha!

I was so shocked to hear the news, and I couldn't believe he was gone. I always used to see my grandpa's brother in law at every wedding and sometimes he would pass by my house with his wife (my grandpa's sister). Whenever I would see him at the weddings, I would always see him sitting alone on the chair and I would always go and talk to him. I would ask him how's life and he would ask me about mine and we would tend to talk about old things. He was a really nice person to hangout with but it's so sad to see that he has left us but by now he has gone to a better place.

So, that day I went to the hospital to pay my respect to my cousins and aunts and uncles and when I reached to the hospital (which looked like a mall; the name of the hospital is City Hospital), I saw his body covered up in those bags that you see in those movies where the dead people are kept in, it's actually a white bag and not a black one. Then I saw my poor aunt crying with her mother over her father's body and my cousin was extremely sad that day 7aram. I went up to her to see them and I tried to calm them down. Then later all my aunts and uncles came to visit them at the hospital to pay respect to my aunt & her mother and my cousins.
By the very next day we ended up having the Azzaa (also known as a funeral) at my house for 3 days and yesterday was the Third day.

Hectic Weeks Ahead:

For the next couple of weeks, will be really hectic for me. The reason is that obvious, I will list it out in points:
  • My class schedule is amazing, I have classes from 8:30AM till 3PM, how convinient!
  • After that I have my driving classes at 4 almost everyday except for Thursdays & Fridays
  • The Eid Holidays are coming up next week, so my blogging time is limited.
  • Then there are the piles and piles of homework to do in order to get good grades
  • Other than University work, there are some birthdays coming up. Mario, My Grandpa, My parents, my small brother, my friend Bader and my big brother.
  • My PC is also acting up and the computer guy is STILL not coming, so forget him. Time to search for a new desktop PC, during the Winter Vacation.
*Sigh*, See how hectic my life is, now all of you understand. Right? Well you should understand how I am feeling nowadays. I don't even have time to breathe (except on Thursdays and alternate Saturdays. As for the Friday's, don't ask!), I rarely have time to even play The Sims 3 or The Sims 2. Sometimes I feel like I'm going to lose it. Now I'm also stressed out because of many other things and my wisdom teeth are starting to hurt again "Oh Panadol, where are you? I need to take one of your pills to stop my aching wisdom teeth". Well other than my life being miserable, except for today, where I had such a wonderful time with my friends, which I will talk about during the next couple of weeks. Now I just can't wait for the Eid holidays, I am seriously going to chill, Literally speaking!

Today In History: The Dubai Metro Opens

The Dubai Metro will be open to the rest of the public on the 10th of September 2009

The Dubai Metro has officially opened on September 9, 2009 at 9:09pm and 09 seconds. So it was launched on 9/9/9 at 9:09 and 09 seconds. Imagine that!
Once the Metro has opened, it will be heading to the following places located on this map. The Metro is busy being displayed on TV on "Dubai One" Channel. His Heinous Sheikh Mohammad was the first person to get into the Metro and go from the Mall Of The Emirates Station to the DIFC (Dubai International Finance Center) and from there he went straight to the Union square and pressed a red button to activate the next station . How neat is that?!
Just before he went on to the Metro, Fireworks were shot up into the air at the Mall Of The Emirates Station. From here, you can see all the colorful fireworks go up in to the air and watch the show. Sorry to inform you but this can be seen ONLY in Dubai's Mall Of The Emirates Station, where only the VIP and Press and other important people are invited. And sorry but no Celebrities have been invited to this event. This is the most exclusive event in Dubai, and just imagine how all the celebrities must be thinking now. Here is what's I think some celebrities are thinking of:
Paris Hilton: "Hmm, I wasn't invited, of all the nerve!"
Angelina Jolie: "Time to continue taking care of the kids"
Victoria Beckham: "I must find a way to get invited to the grand opening of the Dubai Metro, Hmm, I wonder what would happen if I sell all my Gucci handbags at a price of 4.7 billion US dollars?"

What is the Dubai Metro?
The Dubai Metro (مترو دبي) is the first Metro system to be opened in the U.A.E , Well I know there is some underground subways in Sharjah but I don't really know much about that. Wikipedia has said somethings about the Metro which you can read over here.
The Metro is basically a train system that is totally automatic and it has NO driver in it. It's something new in the U.A.E.

Is the Metro going to be a little classier than the Underground systems in London and the U.S?
Well, yes. From what I've heard on the Metro's website on one of the stations they will be having some Chandeliers lighting up the place. "The main underground station of Khalid bin Waleed Station (Burjuman) will be lit by chandeliers"
This is the Metro's Website: http://dubaimetro.eu/

:D Congratulations Dubai for getting the Metro started :D

Retrotrut Begins Driving:

Yes, it's true. I have finally started learning on how to drive a car. I have recently applied to the Dubai Driving Center so that I would learn how to drive a car and to tell you the truth, it's amazing on learning to drive a car. If only I had applied for my license earlier but I couldn't due to my parents (it's a parental issue - that's for me to know and you to find out) and also because of my university life. I basically had no time to go driving because of my class timings (8AM -9PM) back when I was in CUD.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I have officially left CUD and moved to UOWD for many reasons including the driving issues. An explanation will be given soon. Well in other news, I will be really busy for the next couple of weeks. So expect a few delays over the next couple of weeks due to my new University life & my driving lessons. I will be adding some more things about my driving classes. It's going to be a new Short story, right after I post my homemade Vanilla cake recipe. Which is coming in Fall 2009!

The pharmacist, a little bemused, explains to the woman that they don't sell anything called bottom deodorant, and never have. Unfazed, the blonde assures him that she has been buying the stuff from this store on a regular basis, and would like some more. ''I'm sorry,'' says the pharmacist, ''we don't have any.''

''But I always get it here,'' says the blonde.

''Do you have the container it comes in?''

''Yes!'' says the blonde, ''I will go and get it.''

She returns with the container and hands it to the pharmacist, who looks at it and says to her, ''This is just a normal stick of underarm deodorant.''

The annoyed blonde snatches the container back and reads out loud from the container: ''To apply, push up bottom.''

Retro's Desktop Pc Issues: Fan Issues

This is what I'm going to do to my PC if it still refuses to respond!!!!

Have you ever felt like going on your desktop pc at home and had decided one day that you will probably stay up for about at least a couple of hours just to play some games or probably go and browse the internet? Well I felt like doing that tonight, which to some point, something strange happened today.
Today I had decided (since I couldn't sleep of course) to go and use my desktop computer for a couple of hours and I was thinking "hey, why don't I go spend half an hour on Facebook, then check out tonights news at Gulf News and then why not I go play The Sims 2?". So I went online, dealt with Facebook, I checked my inbox and commented on some of my friend's statuses and then I logged out of there and headed on to Gulf News to read the headlines of todays world problems.
Then since all that took about 45 minutes, I should restart my desktop PC before I even play my game and I did. Eventually after restarting my pc, I ended up having a couple of problems. Once everything was up and running my desktop pc decided to quit on me when I was playing my game.
Now just imagine, the loading time of my game (The Sims 2) took about 45 to an hour due to my pc acting up, so I was like who cares, it's probably Kaspersky doing some quick scan (but it wasn't). So as soon as the game loaded, I just went to play with a random family and believe it or not. In less than 5 minutes the fan from my desktop computer started making noise. Not like any noise, it was more like a buzzing sound BZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
And I was confused at first, so I was like WTF? And then the sound started getting louder and that's when I just decided to quit the game as soon as possible because my pc sounded more like it was going to explode and maybe set my room on fire (which I did not want that to happen). So I quickly hurried up and pressed the exit button and the sound of the fan kept getting louder, So I was like "That's it, I have to manually press the restart button on the PC and see what happens". So I did and now the fan had instantly calmed down. The strange thing was that I didn't bother downloading anything new for my game, I have one of the least number of downloads. I remember reading on some forums that people would have at least 8 to 9 GB of downloads but I only had about 6GB (including music and the neighborhood files).
Now I don't know what to do with my desktop PC? I want to throw it out the window (literally speaking) But I need to back up ALL my downloads (don't expect me to download everything from scratch.) And take my movies but this stupid PC of mine is refusing to copy any files. So whatever shall I do? I was thinking I am going to call the repairman and me and him are both going to try and back EVERYTHING up from my desktop PC and then I will literally throw the desktop PC out the window and end it already.
