Has It Been That Long?

Doesn't it feel that time has passed by really fast. I remember when I heard so many songs such as the Macarena or ATB - 9PM or even Eric Clapton. Also time has been going by so fast, that I remember back in the 1990's Dubai was just a desert that had very few buildings built here, now Dubai just looks like a Christmas Tree. I remember my parents told me that before back in the 70's Dubai was just sand and Sharjah was more like the place to be because in Sharjah, they would be the only place in the whole of the Emirates that would have a fast food place over there and I think it was called "Wendy's". And one time I remember my parents also mentioned that the roads were mainly made up of sand and it's not really like the roads we have nowadays.
Even technology has changed over the past 19 years. I remember back in the 1990's the coolest gadgets used to be the Nintendo 64 and the Dreamcast. Now it's a tie between the X-Box 360, Playstation 3 and the Nintendo Wii. Hmm I wonder, what will the world look like 20 years from now? I also remember reading something about the 1950's when some people predicted that the future will consist of flying cars, but so much for that theory. I think that might be done in about another 500 years from now. Can you imagine what Dubai would look like in the year 2100? I bet by that time it would look completely different and that the Burj Dubai would not be the tallest hotel in the world, it would probably be some other building even bigger and I'm guessing that the price of Pepsi would be 25 Dirhams for 1 can and that would be considered to be the cheapest, imagine how much would a meal at a cafe would be? I wonder how would even the technology would look like? Who knows?!

Dido Pictures:

Well since it's Eid Al Adha and Thanksgiving, I thought I would like to post some images for these two moments. Can you believe it, Arafat Day and Thanksgiving were both on the same day and straight after that it was Eid Al Adha. To make things even better, this coming Wednesday is officially off because of Dubai's 38th National Day (Yay Dubai).
Note: If you stare at the third picture of Dido, that is my photoshopped version of  Dido. They say a picture can tell a thousand words, well this picture represents that Dido is an innocent person. The white glow around her means that she is not a bad person, she dresses well (you never see her naked), she's not promiscuous (has she ever had an affair with anyone? NO, does she dance like a whore? NO), she's not spoilt (she spends her money on charity and on her family rather than spending all of it on herself. When Life For Rent was released, she spent all her money on charity events and on her sick father), she never swears on TV (have you ever heard her say b-----d, Nope. Eminem swears more than her), she doesn't play horrible music (there are many singers that are really bad at singing, lets see there's Katy Perry, Kings Of Leon, Green Day, Empire Of The Sun and the list goes on and on). I don't think I need to say anything else other than that she is an awesome singer.

Retro's Current Status:

Today the government has officially announced the following

"...Enjoy your 10 day vacation starting this Thursday the 26th of November 2009 till the 5th of December 2009 and have a Happy Eid Holiday and have a Happy National Day..."

So now since I have no classes on Wednesday I get an extra day added to my calendar. I'm not so sure about everyone else because all schools and universities will be running normally, but I am taking off because I have no classes.
So in conclusion, I have decided to take some rest from the university and just enjoy these days off but of course unfortunately I have to study for my final exams (the schedule will be posted soon). Then on the other hand, since Eid is coming up and National Day, I will be posting an update soon on. So be on a look out for an update!

Celebrities & Their Trends:

You know, there are many celebrities nowadays that are busy making many things trendy. For example if you go to the mall, you will notice that many women are wearing short skirts because of various models and celebrities doing the same thing and they are busy influencing the trend. Well this is starting to get way out of hand. I know that many celebrities want to express or show their feelings across the globe saying to buy or wear or even do certain things but now if you listen to the radio, this is starting to get ridiculous. Seriously, celebrities are now trying to influence everyone to commit suicide. Such as Rihanna with her latest song "Russian Roulette" and what does that mean? Russian Roulette is a game that 2 people "play" together and they try to kill themselves by shooting their heads with a gun, two people would take one gun and share it, and in that gun there is just 1 bullet sitting there and each person has to take turns by pulling the trigger and try and shoot their head off. Whoever gets shot is the winner and that person recieves a one-way ticket down to Hell. If you turn on the radio and listen to the songs that many singers have to offer (whether it's promiscuity or crime or suicide or all of the above), they still can't stop to think about what they have done. What are they trying to end the world already? They must be crazy!

Coming Closer To The End:

It's almost that time of year again, where the final exams come in to test our knowledge of what we have learnt so far in the past couple of months. Many will succeed and many will fail, but then after that everyone is going to be happy because of one reason and that reason is:
THE WINTER VACATION!

Don't you just love the winter vacation, all schools are out for the holidays, some people are going to be spending their time with friends and families, while others just leave town for the Christmas Vacation. This is the time for everyone to be happy because you finally get a break from whatever you're doing (work-related).
Just about 5 weeks until the winter vacation begins. The countdown for the winter vacation begins on the 5th of December 2009.

Stressed? Why Not Try This Out?

Does anyone feel stressed nowadays? Oh wait that's a retorical question. Obviously you're stressed, then just follow the following steps:

Solution:

1. SCREAM as much as you can and swear. Just let it out, forget about your problems and then it will make you feel better at first trust me. It's better to let everything out rather than bottling up like what some people do. You can worry about the problems later but you should do of this alone and not in front of anyone.
2. Take Up An Action Sport? Try playing some paintball and try shooting at some people, and just imagine that those people are your current problems in front of you or why not take up Boxing? It's nice to just let all the bad energy from your body out on a punching bag.
3. Once, you're done with that, go and treat yourself to something nice. Try going out with your friends or even going to the shop and get yourself something such as a game or even new clothes.

The final cure:

Eat something sweet, scientists have proven that if you take anything sweet such as a sugary treat, it helps calm your nerves, unlike caffeine, it causes you to become a nervous wreck and then who knows what your body would do to you. So as for the sugary treat, have a bar of chocolate or if you're up for something frozen, say hello to the word "Ice Cream". Once you're done taking that, try not to think about the calories for now. As what Piper Haliwell said from TV's Charmed "...We'll worry about it then..."

The Sims 3 Releases The First Expansion Pack:

The Sims 3 has officially released their new expansion pack called "World Adventures". It's in stores ALL around the world EXCEPT the UAE. As you can see the UAE Government seems to be delaying this game, for what reason? I don't know. However they are allowing many games in the UAE such as "Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" and "Assassins Creed 2" but where the F#$% is the latest expansion pack of The Sims 3? Well I think I better wait for it for the next couple of days. I hope it will be out before the Eid Holidays!

Confusion Or Birth?

Yes, I know doesn't the title sound strange? Well believe it or not, I recently went to Virgin Megastore to buy a copy of DJ Tiesto's latest Album "Kaleidoscope" and to tell you the truth the first time I ever heard that song, it sounded a little strange at first but now I think I finally have a clue on what the song reminds us of. I think this song basically have 2 meanings. The first one is all about confusion. It sounds more like you feel as if you are trapped in some sort of place, where you can imagine where many colors start flying about, it's more like you are trapped in some sort of kaleidoscope. I know that sounds messed up but here is another theory on what this song might mean. I think this song has something to do with birth, because at the beginning the beat of the song sounds more like a heart beat and with the female singing softly, kind of like a lullaby. Yeah so I think the first part of the song is talking about birth and then as you continue listening to the song, it sounds more a child maybe playing around at the age of 5, and then as you keep listening to it, that child is growing up especially when the song is at 4:40 seconds it sounds like the child is finally growing up into a young person at least by the age of 12 and then the beats change into trance so from then it sounds like the child is finally a teenager.

Retrotrut Gets His License:

This is the Happiest Day of my life, I have finally gotten my Driver's License. I got my license on the 4th of November. So Now you will be hearing about Retro's Driving Stories, (which will be coming soon to www.retro2trut.blogspot.com. ). www.retro2trut.blogspot.com will be opening on the 3rd of January 2010.

It's Britney Watch:

Hey, What is going on with Britney Spears, OK we already know that Britney Spears had lost her kids for being a bad parent, and we all know her kids went to her drug addict Ex-husband and then we all know what she did next, she went and shaved her head bald but that was all in the past. Now Britney seems to be back to normal, WRONG, she has changed. She went from sweet old Innocent Britney to Ugly Old Provocative Britney. Yes, it's true.
Do you remember back in the 1990's when Britney made her music Video of "Oops I Did It Again"? In 2008 she went from that to to "Piece Of Me", I think that song was about her being sick of the Press and then she went and made "Gimme More", where she was literally giving a strip tease to the media.
Now it's 2009 and she went and made her latest music video called "Three" and in that video, she is busy dancing in a sexual way and she is wither dancing with so many guys for about 3 seconds and then she is dancing with some of her female back-up dancers and for the entire time she is busy wearing some white Lingerie for a while and then she is wearing a black transparent pants with her thong showing, while her female back up dancers are wearing G-strings. Hello, hasn't she ever heard of wearing some normal clothes. She should be stripping in front of the media, and next thing you know she's wearing her Birthday Suit. Well she and all the rest of the singers need to take a lesson about self- respect and about decency because they (meaning Britney and the rest of the singers) are literally insane!
