As you can see here, clouds have formed all over dubai. Around 5:30PM and there was no source that it was going to be a thunderstorm. People in the "Palm" area said that they did not detect any strong gushing winds at all. It was a little windy and it was a little warmer than usual. Also at around 9:00pm it had finally drizzled in Barsha . The good thing about the drizzle was that there was visibility and you could see the Burj Dubai, but not 100%. It was clear.
A few minutes later the rain just got a little rough, there was a little more rain than expected in some parts of the Emirates but in the rest it was as dry as a river. I blame global warming.
