This is actually quite surprising, I remember when my brothers used to complain a lot about The Sims in general. They used to say that "The Sims is boring" or "The Sims suck". Well I also remember that I used to annoy them by constantly playing the game (because I love the game so much, it's addictive yet intriguing) and I always talk about what I did in my game on a daily basis. I used to love annoying them, actually now I switched to bothering my friends about it. Yes, am I just evil or what? :-P
Well today I was busy checking my email and look at what I found on HMV's website, it seems that they support The Sims 3 in general. Actually The Sims 3 is quite popular on the internet as well as in several stores across the globe. In Dubai, at the Virgin Megastore at the Mall of the Emirates (not the Mercato, those people over there are Nucking Futs *switch the letters of those two words to understand what I mean) they have arranged The Sims 3 as the Best Sellers Games and the Virgin Recommends As well. How cool is that?!



***Sold at stores across the UK, not a 100% sure if they sell it anywhere else in the world because I haven't bothered buying anything online, I only do my shopping at the actual store!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Sims 3: Ambitions Trailer

This is going to be the last time I will be updating my blog and as you all know that I have just posted an announcement. So as for my final update, I will be providing you with the First Trailer of the latest expansion pack called "Ambitions". You can see part of the new interactions with the new expansion pack and of course, who could forget the Servo? Well it's back, your robotic servant is now back in the game.

The Sims 3 Ambitions Expansion Pack Details: Part 2

The following things have been taken from Sim Operations:

General Career Options:

• Sims can pursue a variety of new careers which are added in the pack
• These jobs directly affect mood, the neighbourhood and other factors
• Players have direct control of their sims’ jobs
• Some jobs allow sims to go on house calls around the neighborhood
• Many new locations are added to the neighbourhood such as a salon and a junkyard

Medical Career

• Sims in this career can make house calls
• Medical sims can test experimental machines on patients

Firefighter Career

• Fighterfighters can tackle real fires in the neighbourhood
• Firefighting sims get an axe which can destory items in a house
• Sims in this career track must build up good relationships within the community
• Equipment of firefighters must be maintained to a good standard
• Firefighters will come into several obstacles such as rubble piles. There will also be a range of problems including both small and large fires and even earthquakes
• In the course of their day, firefighters may have to carry out children, stop gas leaks and put out flames

Investigative Career

• Investigative sims can take a shot at solving cases
• These sims can “rough up” other sims to get answers
• Bribes can be paid by investigative sims to get information
• Sims can break into other’s houses to try and retrieve evidence & clues for thier stories

Ghost Hunter Career

• Ghost hunters can hunt down ghosts and capture them a la Ghostbusters

Inventor Career

• Inventors can create new experiments to test out
• Innovative sims can go to the junkyard and retrieve scrap to build with
• With their detonation packs in hand, inventive sims can blow up objects
• Items built by inventors can be used in opportunities or sold via the consignment store

Sculptor Career

• Sculptors can carve into ice blocks
• Ice sculptures can be made to resemble a posing sim
• Sculptors can sculpt into a variety of materials including clay, wood, ice, and metal

Stylist Career & Tattoo System

• The new tattoo system lets sims makeover their neighbours
• Stylists can offer fashion advice to other sims
• Other sims can request partial or full makeovers
• A new tattoo parlor is added to the neighbourhood alongside a salon chair which can even be bought for home
• Up to five tattoos can be applied to a single sim
• Tattoos can be manipulated by changing colours, size and opacity
• Tattoos can be uploaded to the online exchange

Architect Career

• Architects can edit the whole town via build/buy mode to be able to sculpt their own look on the town

New Objects

• Floor hygienator – provides hygiene to sims who walk over it and is built by inventors
• Personal robot – built by inventors
• Time machine – sims can go back in time with this new item built by inventors
• Drilling device – built by inventors but purpose unknown

Other Additions

• Players can add neighbourhood items such as rocks and signs to the neighbourhood via the architect career rather than using Create-a-World

The Sims 3 Ambitions Expansion Pack Details: Part 1

According to Game Spot, they have found that in this expansion pack there are several new things that are going to be happening in the game. Along with the new jobs, there are also going to be new challenges as well as new options for the Build Mode and new interactions for your Sims.
Some of the challenges include many things:

• When your Sims are firefighters they have to do many things such as maintain their relationships as well as their equipment at the firehouse and then they have to deal with the ringing of the alarms and then you know that means that they have to go to where the fire is and put out the fire and stop certain gas leaks, clear all the rubble piles and if you don't maintain this "Your town may fall victim to small fires, huge infernos and even earthquakes". Translation: This is going to be kind of like Simcity, except you're not the mayor or anything like that, you just have to make sure that your town doesn't burn to the ground because of these "small" fires. So you better beware of these dangerous things. The good thing about this is that this will be teaching us on what to do in case of a fire and what the firemen do in reality. So basically this is like real life except in a virtual world. Very interesting :)
• Stylist or Fashion Designers are going to be hired by two things, either by your friends and neighbors or by certain companies (don't ask which one). Now you have the option of making your customer either look beautiful or you can make them look really Butt-Ugly. As what Game Spot mentioned "...It's a lot of power to put in the hands of our more-deviant players, but the ability to give the entire town a face-lift is fantastic and profitable....". Translation: So, you're going to be more like a plastic surgeon, let's just either make your Sims look like Fashionable people or make them look ugly. It's your choice. So I guess that means if you make your Sim look beautiful, you get paid but if you make your Sim look ugly, you still get paid except no Lawsuit :P I guess this job is alright but it doesn't sound tempting to me.
• Investigators (or as what XTR said on his list of types of annoying people, "Verbal Interrogators" ) basically tend to search for clues. You can bribe your Sims, convince them for the information or beat them up and you can also break into other Sims homes to search for clues and steal things for Evidence. I guess this is alright. There's no translation needed here because it's pretty straight forward!

The Sims 3: Ambitions Expansion Pack

It has officially been confirmed by The Sims 3 that a new expansion pack has been revealed, it's called "The Sims 3: Ambitions". The expansion pack is based on jobs in general. Mainly this expansion will provide your Sim some new jobs where you can actually follow your Sim to work and go inside of the work place with them.
These jobs include the following:

• Ghost Hunter -Your Sim is like one of the Ghost busters except with a different outfit and you literally go searching for ghosts around the neighborhood and you suck them into your vacuum - like object, it's pretty neat.
• Tattoo Artist - Your Sims can now have tattoos around their body part, it's as if you want to make your Sim look like a complete low life. I'm not really looking forward to this job option
• Sculptist - Your Sims can now make sculptures of anything they want, whether it's a person or object of some sort. So far in the trailer, I saw an Ice Sculpture of one Sim and some clay sculptures of some random objects. This is really a nice Job
• Firefighter - Your Sims can now be Firemen and they can now go saving other Sim's lives when their houses are on fire and they can break down the doors with axes to save the people, it's kind of like a real job in our world except the fact that it's completely realistic. I'll quote what Beverly said from the Big Bang Theory "It's a social Convention". So it's like a social thing, when it comes to saving someone's life. I think that this is an Amazing Job 
• Fashion Expert - Your Sims can now be Fashion Experts and they could do all sorts of things with stuff relating to fashion. This Job is great for Female Fashion Designers and NOT Great for male fashion designers since they tend to be gender confused!
• Architect - Are you interested in Architecture? Well why not manage to architect an entire neighborhood to yourself and you control it yourself? This job is Amazing as well as the Firefighter
• Inventor - Create Time Machines and Servos as well as other mechanical things to enjoy life and you can either decide to create things that go "Boom", if you're evil or to stay normal and happy like a good person. This depends on your traits. I think that this is a Great Job 
• Private Detective - Your Sim can so Snooping around town for certain treasures and certain mysteries that lurk around town. So beware of what your Sim's are hiding around town. I think that this is an amazing job

Music Band Copies The Sims 2 Theme Song:

There is this band called "Boys Like Girls" and they had already released this song called "Love Drunk" and they had plagiarized the Official Theme Song for The Sims 2. Those people are busy playing their music all over the radio. I mainly heard this song on 104.1 Radio 1 and if you listen to the first and the last part of the song "the lala la la lalala lala lala lalalala... and so on", then as a Simmer, you will realize that this part of the song has been taken from The Sims 2 & it's expansion packs. Those exact lyrics are copied and the band members are literally singing after the song but they made the song into a "College Rock" kind of theme.

The Sims 3: World Adventures

What is this? People across all many gaming forums (mainly The Sims Forums) have been talking about what will be the next expansion packs. Some people say that it should be about "work related things" or "travelling related things". Well EA has finally answered all their fans. They have officially announced a new expansion pack and it's called "The Sims 3: World Adventures". And this ladies & gentlemen will be released worldwide on November 16 2009.

Today is The Day:

Today is the day I get The Sims 3, so you know what that means right? Yes, this means I will be playing The Sims 3 most of the time but don't worry I will be adding some information about it soon. For those of you who don't care about The Sims 3 (or any of The Sims whether it's 1 or 2, namely XTR), just read the story that I wrote and comment about it if you want. The comments are enabled for Authors ONLY.
So also expect some updates starting this Saturday as I will be posting some more posts soon!

5 Days Left:

There are only 5 days left until The Sims 3 is released to the U.A.E, France, Switzerland & to the rest of the Middle East but the sad thing is that it will be released to the U.S in 2 days and that really sucks. I also heard that it will be released in 6 -8 days to the rest of the world including Europe. Other than that, I am trying to keep myself busy by going on The Sims 2 Forums (where they talk about The Sims 3) and who could forget The Sims 3's official website :P

If you notice that on The Sims 2 forums, the Maxoids (aka the mods) are not there anymore. The reason is unknown, but from what I've heard is that they have all moved to The Sims 3's official website and they now call themselves the Sim Gurus (it's more like the love guru :P)

The Sims 3 Gets An Article Written On Time Magazine:

There was an article relating to The Sims 3 found on Time Magazine and Time Magazine quoted that this is one of the most interesting games ever. I posted the article down below :

"There's a professor at Oxford University who makes a compelling argument that if humans survive long enough to create conscious computers, it's likely that all of us, right now, are simply historical simulations the computers created for their amusement. After playing with The Sims 3 — the latest sequel in the mega-popular Sims franchise — I believe that prof. Ich bin ein Sim.

The game, in which you create a character and interact with artificial intelligences in a simulated world, has sold more than 100 million copies since its debut in 2000. It's the best-selling PC game of all time. That's a tough act to sustain, but Sims 3, remarkably, blows past its ancestors in every way.

The new game, four years in the making, is set in beautiful Sunset Valley, a town that has 67 simulated human residents. There is about 5 days left until The Sims 3 is released here in the U.A.E. but there are only 3 days left until it's released in the U.S, anyway it doesn't matter. I thought I would update this blog of mine and make it ready for The Sims 3 starting with a few changes:

• The video bar that was showing videos of Dido has been replaced with videos of The Sims 3.
• The countdown has The Sims 3 Sign :P
• There will be a few more posts about The Sims 3 for the next 2 weeks. The continuation of my story called "The Getaway: The Trip" will however be posted next week and then following that week will be the another continuation.
• Some Information about The Sims 3 will be posted on Wednesday the 3rd of June 2009.
• Then starting from the 5th of June, there will be no updates until the middle of the week and that's when I'll continue blogging about new things.
• There will also be many videos about The Sims 3 posted throughout the week.

Nowadays time is slowing down because of the long wait for The Sims 3 release. Today I was at Virgin Megastore down in the Mercato and I see that the staff members over there are getting ready for the shipment of The Sims 3. If you ever go there you will see a neat stacked up pile of The Sims 3 Introduction CDs now available for sale and there are many empty green boxeswith the Sims Plumbob shining and it's written "Are you ready for The Sims 3? Well Look No Further, The Sims 3 will be out on June 4 2009 :D ". Other than the Virgin Megastore at the Mercato, the Virgin down in Mall Of The Emirates has a big huge poster of The Sims 3 saying "The Sims 3 coming out on June 4 2009, Pre Order Now And Receive FREE Gifts" and the Plasma Screen TV's down there have advertisments of The Sims 3 that shows every 5 minutes :D

TS3 Talk:

On Facebook The Sims 3 group wants all their fans to do something with the Plumbob (the green diamond thing), so as a fan I have decided that I will make Dido have a plumbob sign on top of her head. Hey she now looks like a sim :P

By The Way (BTW) I would like to inform everyone that The Sims 3 will be releasing on the 4Th of June across the U.A.E. and not on the 2nd of June. However some stores are releasing it earlier and some are releasing it a day later. Also I would like to mention that this game is NOT an expansion pack to The Sims 2, it's a completely different game. You can find out more information on Google as well as many Sims Sites :)

Let There Be Sims:

Virgin Megastore in Dubai announces the release of The Sims 3. It is said that the game will be released on the 4th of June 2009. Now I am really surprised with Virgin. About 2 weeks ago I went to Virgin Megastore in the Mall Of The Emirates and I asked one of the staff members and believe it or not this is what happened:

Me: Excuse me sir, do you have any idea when The Sims 3 will be released?

Virgin Megastore Staff member: The Sims 3?!

Me: Yes, do you know when it will be released?

Virgin Megastore Staff member: I'm sorry sir, but we NEVER heard of the game. We have The Sims 2 in stock. Would you like to see it?

Me: No thanks!

So I left the store. but now finally Virgin realized that they should release it. I think they were forced to release it because I guess they many people heard me blab about how one guy from the UAE is a creator of the game and I'm guessing that they felt bad because ALL the stores knew about it except them. LOL

Anyway about the game. If you go to Virgin Megastore now, you can see that it's available for pre-ordering now. So if you preorder it, you will receive a few gifts with the game. So what are you waiting for. Go and preorder it QUICK!!!!
