Retro's Second Blogger Anniversary:

Well as you all know, its my second year of being a blogger and I know that I haven't been doing much this year. (I blame my hectic schedule for that). So as of now I will be blogging as of this coming summer vacation, so let's just enjoy this year's celebration with some fireworks, because YouTube is down for some odd reason!

Seasons Greetings:

I finished all my exams, so now I have officially started my holidays. I would like to take this time to wish everyone a "Merry Christmas" and a Happy New Year. 

Note: I will be posting a few pictures during the next couple of days and then as January 4, I will be opening my new blog, which will be based on Stories only. So I will start writing about my cooking stories, and a few life stories and so on. So be on a look out for the link for my new blog. Don't worry, this will be my main blog but the new blog will be updated monthly, unlike this blog, it's being  updated every week or two.

Retro's Getaway:

Last week, I had one of the worst weeks of my life. I have had one hectic week, the classes were going on one after the other without a break and then after that I would have my driving lessons, and then the piles of work that the university would give us and then there are all those weekly quizzes. All of that drove me crazy (metaphorically speaking), but with my stress level going higher by the minute, I have finally had a meltdown.

So while I was having my meltdown, one of my friends had invited me to go to this party down in Abu Dhabi, and I would stay the night down in the Abu Dhabi Beach Rotana Hotel, which was a nice hotel to stay in. On Thursday, after I got home from a long day from the university, I just packed my things and literally fell asleep for the entire day. So by Friday afternoon, like at around 3PM, I left Dubai and headed straight to Abu Dhabi. The trip wasn't that long, it only took about an hour and twenty minutes and the trip was worth it. If you want to get some peace & quiet and also to shake the stress away, just get in the car and head to Abu Dhabi. It beats getting stressed out at the university.

Once I had arrived to Abu Dhabi, I went and checked into the hotel and then I went up and changed my clothes because it was the Trinidadian Independence Day Party and they had a specific clothing code, you have to wear a red, white and black clothing, or if you're going to wear your casual clothes, you should tie a red, white & black band or a flag on your clothes/bags.
So I went up and I changed my clothes and then I came down at exactly 6PM and headed to the party.

In conclusion, I ended up having a blast at the party and I hope to go to the next party during the next few years. Happy Trinidadian Independence Day Everyone!!!!

I am so happy today because it's my birthday. Today is the day I turn 19 years old. Time passes by so quickly :S well since I'm finally 19 years old I posted a music video down below. Emirates Just Wanna Have Fun

National Day is coming up on the 2nd of December 2008. It's U.A.E's 37th Anniversary.
I can't believe it that it has been exactly 37 years since U.A.E had been alive for so long.
But now the celebration is about to begin. ALL SCHOOLS & UNIVERSITIES & WORK-PLACES ARE CLOSED FOR THIS DAY. So it's time to Party :D
Then after that it's the Eid Holidays :D
so mostly all the places are going to be closed from the 2nd of December till the 13th of December. It's about 2 weeks off!

ATLANTIS OPENS IN DUBAI

Atlantis has officially opened in the U.A.E. It said on the news that Atlantis has invited many celebrities such as:

• Hugh Jackman (Wolverine from X-Men the movie)

and 2000 other celebrities (including Bollywood celebrities).

A special concert was made for the opening of Atlantis. Kylie Minouge came to Dubai and performed at Dubai Festival City for her fans on Friday the 21st of November 2008.
But before she performed for her fans, she did one for all the celebrities on Thursday the 20th of November 2008 and directly after she performed a bunch of fireworks had launched at Atlantis. One of my best friends was at the launch of the fireworks in Atlantis last night and he told me that this opening of the Atlantis is going to be put on the Guinness Book Of World Records. Wow tha'ts a surprise.
Unfortunately Dido wasn't there, I wonder where she is right now? Oh well she must be in the U.S promoting her new album Safe Trip Home!

Dido - London Fan Event (October 2008)
